Can I take the program for credit?
Course Code(s) Available:
• FSE 294 / FSE 394 | 6 Credits (Engineering Elective - FSE)
• IDS 294 / IDS 394 | 6 Credits (Elective - CISA)
• SAO 294 / SAO 394 | 6 Credits (General Elective - SAO)

What if I can’t register for the classes because I have a registration hold or adding the program would put me over my credit limit?
To participate, you must have room for 6 total credits: 3 credits in Session A and 3 credits in Session B.
ASU generally allows students to enroll in up to 18 credits per semester (9 credits per session) without additional approval. If adding the program puts you over your allowed credit limit, you will need to request a credit overload from your college. Credit overloads are reviewed by ASU based on your individual circumstances and are not guaranteed.
If your overload request is not approved, you will need to adjust your schedule to make room for the program or you may not be able to participate that term.
Any registration holds must also be resolved before you can be fully registered.
Can I take the Global Career Acccelerator without increasing my cost to ASU?
How does the billing work?
- Program Fee Applied: When you enroll, you’ll see a program fee on your bill equal to 6 credits of tuition.
- Matching Credit Applied: ASU applies a billing credit to your account for the exact same amount so your overall bill doesn’t increase.
Bottom line: The Global Career Accelerator is a high-value opportunity. You get additional courses and career-connected experiences without paying more than your regular tuition
I'm an honors student, do these credits count towards Barrett honors credit?
Yes! All of the course code options for the program apply as honors credits. You don’t need to do anything other than apply for this to happen!
When will I see the Global Career Accelerator courses on my ASU schedule?
After you complete the Global Career Accelerator application and confirm your participation, there may be a short delay before your registration appears in MyASU.
You do not need to register for the Global Career Accelerator courses yourself. If additional action is required from you, we’ll let you know.
